Politicians Actions vs. Biblical truth
 This is addressed to Christians.

Well another area I had no original intent to write about, but I felt compelled to address. The reason why, in talking to those who say they are born again believers there seems to be an incredible lack of discernment on where God stands on the issues as found in scripture in contrast to what politicians are promoting. One more thing, this is not about democrats vs. republicans, liberals vs. conservatives or who you should vote for.  It is about whether we will follow God's way as found in scripture or the World's system.

In politics today, religion, especially Christianity has become a major part of the political landscape. Some politicians regardless of party are claiming to have a relationship with Jesus Christ when talking about their faith.

But in terms of practicing their faith in the political arena of their life and where they stand on the issues, one cannot help but notice a difference in their actions versus their claim to Christian beliefs. This is especially true in their proactive supportive stance in the areas of same sex marriage, abortion, infanticide, etc. Some even go as far as stating Christianity is not the only way. This is tantamount to saying Jesus is not who he claim to be, since Christianity is about him. Jesus said in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."  Pretty exclusive claims by the master himself.

When asked direct questions about their Christian beliefs, they attempt to give a political correct answer by misapplying and misinterpreting biblical verses to fit the audience at the time. Hoping to offend the fewest of people but clearly negating the truth of scripture.

The sad part of all this is that politicians become a barometer on where the hearts of the population stand.  They also reflect the condition of the hearts within the professing church, where some continually stand with and vote for these individuals regardless of how anti-biblical their stand may be. Some have been deceived into thinking that Godless politicians have the answers to the problems of life and that God doesn't. This reflects how far some have fallen from their relationship with God, if they ever had a relationship with him.

Some in Christendom today are trying to serve two masters, "God”, and the "god" of this world. They compartmentalize their life and only allow God into certain areas and apparently politics is one they want God out of.

Those who profess Christ should understand that God’s expectation of those who name the name of Christ is not to live according to the world system (1John 2:15-18) but as Christ said, in Matt 4:4... “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every  WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’ and not according the opinions and dictates of politicians who have aligned themselves with the World’s system.

Where do you stand? Which world view guides your path? The World system or God’s word? Remember for it is God who holds our destiny for this world and the world to come.

President Bush a Universalist!

The President claimed that all roads lead to the same point, spiritually, and  that everyone goes to heaven --

Muslims, Christians, Jews, everyone.

Christ said in John 14:6

6     Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Was Christ lying when he made this statement?

Does President Bush know more about the way to God than Jesus?
